How to Cook Chingudi Jhola?

 

Clean the prawns properly and cut the Potato into small pieces.

Add a tsp of salt and turmeric to the prawn’s fish.

Keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.

Keep a frying pan on the Gas stove.

Heat 5 tsp mustard oil in a pan.

Fry till the colour change to a golden brown.

Fry the potato with the remaining oil.

Make a paste of onion, cumin seeds, coriander, garlic, ginger.

Fry the paste in a pan with mustard oil.

Add chopped tomatoes & 1 tsp turmeric powder.

Add salt and chili powder and mix them thoroughly.

Sauté for about 10 minutes till the veggies are half done.

Add about 3-4 cups of water and salt to taste.

Let it boil for 5 minutes on a low flame.

Put the fried Prawn into the boiling curry and cover the lip of the pan.

On slow flame cook for about 10 minutes till the veggies are nice and soft.

Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon powder or Garam Masala.

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
